Apple TV refers to a multi-generation series of microconsoles designed by Apple primarily as streaming devices, although the ability to access the App Store and download games has been available since the fourth generation of devices now means that the hardware can be officially classified as a microconsole. All Apple TV devices except the third generation can be jailbroken to run custom software (although jailbreaking a first generation Apple TV isn't recommended due to a poorer user experience compared to jailbreaking later devices).
