Balloon Fight is a fairly entertaining and unique game from Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System. You're tied to two balloons so that you can soar in the skies. In the game, players must tap the A button to gain altitude, and then use the d-pad for directional control. The premise is simple; pop the balloons of your enemies while trying to avoid yours being popped.
In addition to the main mode the game features a co-op mode, and a survival mode where you have to avoid electricity.
Sequels and ports
A little known sequel for the Game Boy, called Balloon Kid was released in 1990. Since then, the Balloon Fight games have only been seen in several ports, or as cameos in games such as Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tetris DS and WarioWare.
