A CD-RW is a type of recordable optical disc storage media that usually allows for about 700 MB of storage space. Designed to be written to multiple times, CD-RW discs are useful for storing large amounts of data but are incapable of replicating anti-piracy measures. Due to differences in how the data is recorded compared to CD-R discs, older CD reader hardware will not recognise CD-RW discs.
