Upcoming Change for Encyclopedia Gamia/Codex Gamicus[]
On Wednesday, December 12th, we announced that Curse Media and Fandom are joining forces. While we know there are a lot of questions about how this will work, our teams are dedicated to starting this collaboration immediately. As part of our first experiment and show of good faith, we decided as a joint effort to take an early look at the issues around content duplication between Gamepedia and Fandom.
As a result, and after discussions and agreement with the project admins, a decision was reached to redirect the original Encyclopedia Gamia (gaming.fandom.com) URL to the new home here at gamicus.gamepedia.com. This redirect will go into effect on Friday, December 21st.
At the same time, we will also be redirecting another project from Gamepedia to Fandom. Made with consultation with active community members, these two actions will help us establish a test case for how we can resolve other content duplication issues that exist. We are committed to moving forward together and making the best decisions possible for our communities with their input along the way.

- Very happy with this and the precedence it sets. Keep up the good work. Gcx0 (talk) 21:15, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- I'm skeptical, considering how many wikis left Wikia due to clashes between Fandom's priorities and the needs of the editing community. 185.232.22.99 03:05, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
