Initial Setup
What forums and/or categories would you like to see on the new forum? Do you want to duplicate the old setup, or try something new? --Achernar 01:55, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- God, no, PLEASE! I loathe forums. Forums take an infernal amount of time to read
- finding new posts, sorting the BS posts from the actual content, and scrolling through lines and lines of signatures, banners, and avatars, to read a simple conversation. I prefer to use prompt forms of communication, such as: (in order of preference) Face-to-face, skype, IRC, wiki talk pages. Forums also introduce horrible, horrible culture elements: "LOL DIDNT U KNO THATS AN INSIDE JOK ON DA FORUMS". Please, keep it SANE!
- Forms are good for people who are not online. The old forum structure was good but we can have one with no avatars. The forums structure similar to what you had on simple machines will do fine. - Ok, well, Wiki stripped down the forums a lot, so there aren't any sigs or avatars anyway. Plus, it's not like there's going to be any lack of moderation... Also, skype = fail, use IRC. (oh, and any setup is fine with me I guess) --User:Skizzerz/sig 23:09, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
