Command & Conquer Remastered Collection includes remastered editions of Command & Conquer, its expansion pack The Covert Operations, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and its two expansion packs Counterstrike and The Aftermath. Also included is a rebuilt multi-player experience, a modernized UI, Map Editor, bonus gallery of unreleased FMV footage, and over 7 hours of legendary remastered music by Frank Klepacki.
Gameplay[ | ]
When each game boots for the first time, a faux installer initially launches that guides the player through an "upgrade" of the original MS-DOS game for high definition, with a gradual increase in reported resolution and graphical fidelity, with an attention to detail that means that it even has the manual sound options the player could pick from in the original game installer.
Once in the game, the player can toggle model and terrain quality using the space bar, to alternate between original graphics, and the new high-definition graphics, which are capable of display at 3840 x 2160, also known as 4K or 2160p. The UI has also been refreshed, and many features have been backported from later games, such as shift-click to group. However, some features, like rally points, continue to be absent in the remastered Command & Conquer game.
