Company of Heroes 2 was a RTS game that was made by Relic, and it was released in June 25, 2013. Company of Heroes 2 is the sequel to Company of Heroes. The second game focuses on the Eastern Front, in Company of Heroes 2 you can play as the Soviets or as the Germans.

Gameplay

In the game you control different units, there are three different types of units. There are vehicles, infantry and engineers. Infantry units can pick up new weapons, these new weapons can help lay down suppressive fire on enemy units and it can help take out vehicles. The way you collect resources is you have to take objective points that are around the map. Once a unit is near the objective point it will being the capture phase. Players can build catches, catches can help increase the fuel or mutation income. If you establish a supply line to your headquarters then your income will increase. Units can take cover, when a unit takes cover it will reduce the amount of damage that you take. Cover can be trenches, walls, fences and it can be buildings. Units can enter civilian buildings, the downside to entering a building is it can catch fire and artillery or flamethrowers can easily destroy it. A new feature in this game is the weather mechanic. Units can get frostbite when they are caught in severe weather, as a result the units that suffer frostbite are easier to destroy. One of the new mechanics that affects the Soviets is Order 227, when Order 227 is in effect any retreating units are shot and killed.
