Cricket is a bat and ball sport that dates back at least three centuries.
Similar to Baseball in many ways, Cricket differs with the playing field shape, actual playing area and equipment.
Cricket has adapted from the formal historical 5-day format into various shorter forms to suit twenty-first century entertainment. ODI's (One Day Internationals, games played out across a single day/night) and Twenty20 Cricket (20 overs each, approximately 3 hours in duration).
The first international sporting event between two sovereign nations outside of the Olympics was Cricket, with Canada playing the United States in the inaugural Auty Cup in 1844.
