CyberStrike is an action vehicle simulation game developed by Simutronics and published by 989 Studios and MicroProse for the MS=DOS in February 1993. This game involves team combat between customizable mechs, each of which is controlled by a different player.
Sequel[ | ]
In 1997, CyberStrike 2, the sequel to this game, was announced as a collaborative project between Simutronics and 989 Studios. A single-player mission-based version of the game was released in stores, and a multiplayer version was opened on GEnie in December 1998. It was also released on America Online, and then via the Simutronics website. After CyberStrike 2 opened, the original version of the game was renamed to CyberStrike Classic (although it can still be referred to as "CyberStrike").
