Diablo is a popular Action RPG created and developed by Blizzard North, with assistance from Blizzard Entertainment, that was released in 1996. Diablo: Game of the Year Edition was released in 1998. The Best Sellers re-release was in July2003 in North America, while the PlayStation the Best re-release was on November 18, 1999 in Japan. It was re-released on GOG.com on March 7, 2019 as a dual-game launcher; the original game, still capable of single-player and multi-player via Blizzard Entertainment's Battle.net service (with appropriate port forwarding settings), and graphically-enhanced version that offers additional bug fixes and out-of-the-box Windows 10 compatibility; this version, while supporting single-player, only offers multi-player functionality over LAN. The GOG.com release marked the first time that Diablo has ever been offered in a format that could be downloaded online.
Diablo: Hellfire would later on be released by Sierra On-Line; this expansion pack would later be made available through GOG.com on June 5, 2019 as part of a bundle with the original Diablo title.
