Donkey Kong Land 2 is a game released to the Donkey Kong series for the Game Boy. It is succeeded from Donkey Kong Land, but preceded by Donkey Kong Land III. This game is released for the Game Boy and takes after the events of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest but before Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.
This game is also often mistaken for a handheld port of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. This has been proven false as the worlds Crocodile Cauldron and Krem Quay were merged into a new world called Krem Cauldron. Another difference is that the levels are slightly remodeled throughout the game. There are also two new levels, Krazy Koaster and Dungeon Danger which replace Haunted Hall and Castle Crush likely due to system limitations.

This storyline is similar to the Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest as Donkey Kong was kidnapped once again by the Kremling Krew, leading Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong in venturing through Crocodile Isle to save him.
