The Electronic Entertainment Expo 1995, commonly known as E3 1995, was the first E3 held. The event took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 11–13, 1995, and there were 50,000 total attendees.

It was during E3 1995 that Sony announced a release date and price for the PlayStation, SEGA released the Sega Saturn, and Nintendo showcased the Virtual Boy and presented the Nintendo 64 (then known as Ultra 64) in its near-final state of development.
