The Sunny City is considered the cradle of all elves. They devoutly believe in this themselves and treat their historical homeland with respect. However, most elves prefer to live outside its boundaries. The rules in the Sunny City are very strict, as it is governed by the Supreme Druid Council, which holds unquestioned power in elven society despite lacking formal authority.

The freedom-loving nature of elves intuitively rebels against any rule. Additionally, they feel a stronger attachment to nature than to the home of their fathers. All this leads to a certain disunity among the elves and an uneven dispersion across the continent.

The only thing that unites them as a people is their loyalty to the Sunny City. This is caused not so much by history or tradition as by the need to have their own piece of land, where any persecuted elf can always return and find protection.

One of the largest elven communities outside the Sunny City is in the Frontier. That vast plain at the foot of the Thundering Mountain rightfully belongs to the dwarves, but they have never inhabited the lowlands, preferring to build their cities in the bowels of the mountains. The vacant land is close to the Sunny City, so elves eagerly settle there, much to the displeasure of the grumpy owners.

Each elven community has its local council of druids, but the local councils are far from being as authoritative and strict as the Supreme Council. The local councils ensure the preservation of the traditional way of life for their wards living in harmony with the Primordial Spirits and warn them against becoming renegades.

Meanwhile, renegation runs in elven blood. Some of them succumb to the lycan curse, others get carried away by blood magic, still others worship the forces of Death, not to mention those who are seduced by the distant voice of the Stars and become lunar druids. There is no forbidden knowledge that wouldn’t offer temptation to a curious and susceptible elf. But if his secret passion becomes apparent, the druids mercilessly brand the renegade, dooming him to eternal exile or death.

Pious elves worship the Spirits of the Forest, honor all the other Primordial Spirits, are tolerant to the Supreme Gods, and flatly reject such unclean beings as demons or Death, as well as obscure and questionable forces like the Star Spirits or the Divine Mite.
