The Emerson Arcadia 2001 was the only game system manufactured by Emerson Radio Corporation. It came out around the same time as the ColecoVision and the Atari 5200, and was considered "dead on arrival" due to its graphics and sound quality not being on the same level as those systems, as well as due to its lack of popular arcade game adaptations. It did, however, spawn a great many clones and variants.
