F.L.U.D.D., short for Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device, is the second known E. Gadd invention, after the Poltergust 3000. It is a high-pressure water pump that Mario uses to clean Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine.
Abilities[]
In addition to simply cleaning the graffiti that plagues Isle Delfino Mario can use F.L.U.D.D. to hover in place and squirt enemies (knocking them into a state of brief unconsciousness). Later on in Super Mario Sunshine Mario will come across several nozzles which extends F.L.U.D.D.'s abilities. These are the Rocket Nozzle, the Turbo Nozzle, and the Hover Nozzle.
- The Rocket Nozzle is a red nozzle which allows Mario to blast off into the sky to reach new heights.
- The Turbo Nozzle is a grey nozzle that lets Mario dash around and can be used to break down doors.
- The Hover Nozzle is a blue nozzle that lets Mario regain the ability of F.L.U.D.D. to hover in place if Mario had previously picked up one of the other two nozzles.
F.L.U.D.D. has an artificial intelligence and appears to be self-aware of its own existence. It is capable of talking.
