The Fairchild Channel F Controller is the standard controller for all Fairchild Channel F units. It consists of a knob on top of a shaft that can be moved in eight directions like a joystick, turned in two directions like the rotary dial of a paddle controller, or pushed in and out, functioning as an action button. The original Fairchild Channel F system had the controllers hard-wired, while the later model released by Zircon had detachable controllers that were compatible with the Atari 2600.
