Game Boy Wars 3 is the third and final game of the Game Boy Wars series. It was released in 2001 for the Game Boy Color in Japan.

It plays very similar to the other Game Boy Wars games. Due to being released on the Game Boy Color, the game has a wider palette of colors. There is a new campaign mode in the game. There are 45 maps in the campaign. Unit's can gain experience points when in the campaign mode. After the unit has a certain amount of experience your unit can gain an promotion.
