Gauntlet Legends is a well known arcade game that was eventually ported to the N64, and later the PlayStation and Dreamcast. The game features 4 playable characters - a wizard, a warrior, a valkyrie and an archer. |The game is co-op oriented, as each player takes control of one character and go dungeon crawling as a team effectively slaying monsters, leveling up and occasionally casting spells. There are also a few traps and/or obstacles to navigate through.
Even in the arcade version, players could save their character progress by inputting initials and a short 3 space password to use go back to where they left off (In terms of character strength and level) when they visited the machine again.
The game is entirely co-op. There is no versus mode available.
