Its capital is Berlin, and the country is bordered by Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland. They use the PAL format and use the Euro as their official currency. Germany is one of the only countries in Europe that do not use PEGI to rate their video games, instead using Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK). Prior to reunification in 1990, Germany was split between West Germany and East Germany.
