God of War: Betrayal is a 2D side-scrolling hack-and-slash mobile game released on June 20, 2007. It was published by Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment and based on the previous games in the God of War series. It is the third installment in the series and the first on a portable platform. Chronologically, it takes place immediately after the first installment, although it was mistakenly reported that it followed God of War II
The game has been critically acclaimed for its fidelity to the series in terms of gameplay and art style. The graphics have also been highly praised for providing an excellent atmosphere to the game.
