A headset is an electronic device that is usually connected to a controller or audio jack/USB port and placed over the player's head, allowing sound to travel directly to their ear from the source, as well as provide a microphone in order to communicate with the game, or other players. Headset may also refer to virtual reality headsets, which provide the player with deeper gameplay immersion. There are many brands and types of headsets available.
