HeroQuest is a board game produced by Milton Bradley Company in 1989. The object of the game was for four Heroes to traverse a dungeon fighting monsters and completing a quest without all of them dying.
The game is for 2-5 players, one playing the Dungeon Master, Zargon, and the other(s) playing the Heroes, a Barbarian, a Dwarf, an Elf and a Wizard.
The original game provided 14 Quests. It spawned several expansions including: Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord.
Between each quest, should the heroes survive, they were given the chance to buy new weapons, armor, and tools.
