Hwoarang is a fictional character in the Tekken series. He first debuted in Tekken 3 and has been in every game since then. He is confirmed to appear in Tekken 6 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. He uses Tae Kwon Do as his fighting style, which includes a lot of kicks and a few punch combinations. He joined Tekken 3 to defeat his rival, Jin Kazama, whom he lost to sometime before Tekken 3 and to find the person who attacked his master, Baek Doo San. The two didn't manage to settle scores in Tekken 3 or Tekken 4. In Tekken 5, after Hwoarang defeated Jin, Jin transformed into Devil Jin and defeated Hwoarang almost immediately.
Attributes[ | ]
While controlling Hwoarang is in a match, the player might want to bash the kick buttons to win. However, while Hwoarang's attacks rely on kicks, this is not how the player should act in high level play. Hwoarang can be tricky to master, since his moves have a lot of mixing (e.g. low sweep here, a high punch there, a kick to the face) and they are not easy to perform. Thanks to mixing, Hwoarang can pull off some massive combos and probably even keep the opponent in check.
