The Intellivision Controller is the standard controller for all Intellivision units. It consisted of a 12-function keypad, a 16-directional control disc, and four side action buttons, allowing for left- and right-handed gameplay. While the original Intellivision model had the controllers hard-wired to the system, the Intellivision II had detachable controllers that allowed for easier replacements.
