One of the first friendly Koopa Troopas, Koopa the Quick challenged Mario to a race in the various magical paintings in Princess Peach's Castle. If Mario wins the race Koopa the Quick will reward him with a star.
Koopa the Quick appears in the Bob-omb Battlefield painting and challenges Mario to race to the mountaintop, where the Big Bob-omb was defeated. He challenges Mario to a rematch wearing his Koopa Mach 1 Sprints (Supa Koopa Sprint sneakers in Super Mario 64 DS) in the Tiny Huge Island painting.
