The Sega Master System Controller is a controller used for the Sega Master System. The controller includes a square D-pad and two buttons labelled 1 and 2. The control pad does not include a start button used for pausing the game. Instead, the pause feature is located on the Sega Master System itself. The controller shares similarities with the Nintendo Entertainment System controller, including a rectangular box shape, two buttons and a D-pad.

The controller has several variations. There are Sega Master System controllers with wires coming out of the right side, reminiscent of the Japanese Famicom controllers, Sega Master System controllers with a joystick style thumbstick, and controllers with wires coming out of the top.  The Sega Master System Controller has a mixed reception, due to it's small size, but when you play at Alax Kidd, it responds very good.
