Metroid Prime 3 is first-person adventure developed by Retro Studios for the Nintendo Wii. It takes place after the events in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The first glimpse of the game was shown at Nintendo's press conference during E3 2005 where a next-gen model of Samus Aran was briefly shown as well as shots of her ship and some weird tentacle objects displayed running on Gamecube hardware. Corruption will deal with the insidious substance known as Phazon taking over and corrupting the galaxy as well as Samus Aran herself. It is, of course, up to Samus to stop this from happening. This game gives a satisfying close to the Prime trilogy, where Phazon will be finished once and for all. 3 other bounty hunters also join her: Ghor, Rundas, and Gandrayda.

Metroid Prime 3 is a first-person adventure developed by Retro Studios for the Nintendo Wii.

New additions & changes

 • Multiple planets - Samus isn't just investigating Phazon on a single planet anymore. Now, she'll be able to travel between multiple planets.
 • Command Visor - Though she won't be able to pilot her gunship, Samus will be able to use a brand new Command Visor to send orders to her ship. It will be able to do bombing runs, lift heavy objects, and more.
 • Super Metroid-style stacking - A fan-favorite game mechanic from Super Metroid, players will be able to stack their weapons once again. This means they will be able to combine & mix attributes of their beams, missiles, and even the grapple beam. No longer will beams/missiles/grapples need to be selected off a menu.
 • Socialization - For the first time, Samus can speak to others, and others will speak to her. However, it is confirmed that she will not talk at all in the game.
