MiG-29 Fulcrum is a combat flight simulation game released by Novalogic in September 1998. It uses the same game engine as F-16 Multirole Fighter.

Plot[]

This video game puts the player in the role of Dimitri Reznov, a fighter pilot from the Russian Air Force. In the start of the game, Dimitri has been briefed to pursue an infamous Vietnamese terrorist leader, Cao Binh Minh. The first level pits Dimitri's Mig29 against the Vietnamese Army. Dimitri's first mission is to combat Mig21 fighter jets sent to destroy Russia. Later, Dimitri is given the order to attack some anti-aircraft positions near Pripyat, Ukraine. Dimitri destroys the antiaircraft positions with missiles and bombs. Later, the level ends. The opening cut-scene depicts the backstory of the game. In 2012, Vietnam has split into North and South Vietnam, just like the Vietnam War. Later, US Army UH60 Blackhawk helicopters are seen hovering toward Europe. Soon, the game also depicts Great Britain and the South Vietnamese Army siding against North Vietnam. Then the second level of the game begins. In this level, Dimitri is tasked with attacking a North Vietnamese garrison stationed in North Vietnam-occupied Kiev, Ukraine. Dimitri first uses bombing runs to pound the outer sections of the North Vietnamese garrison. Unfortunately, the bombing runs trigger the alarm and antiaircraft guns begin firing. Dimitri is able to destroy the antiaircraft positions easily and eventually uses missiles and bombs to destroy everything else.
