{{Peripheralbox| title = Zapper |image = Zappers |system = NES |creator = Ninendo |games = List of games |released = October, [[1985 |inputs = Trigger |rarity = }} The Zapper is a gun peripheral for the NES. It is compatible with the game Duck Hunt and many others. The zapper originally came in grey but because the gun was said to be too easily mistaken as a real weapon, Nintendo released a redesigned orange version. The zapper uses an inferred laser to hit targets. It is very easy to cheat using the zapper.
