Plot[ | ]

It is Princess Peach's birthday, and a party is being held at her castle. While Mario and Luigi are celebrating with her and two Toad's, a huge cake slides in. Within seconds, Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings jump out of the cake and throw it onto Peach, trapping her inside. The villains escape with her on their Airship with the Mario Brothers, and the two Toads following in close pursuit. Some of the Toads in the castle fire Propeller and Penguin Suits so the four will have access to them.

After going through eight worlds, Mario and the gang go into the final castle and face off against Bowser. After defeating him once, they notice Peach crying in a cage. However, this is merely Kamek wearing a dress, and he powers Bowser up, making him grow to gargantuan size. Mario and the gang have no choice but to run, and finally come to a dead end with a "!" Switch. They push it, and Bowser falls through the floor. Peach is released from her cage, and the five return to the Mushroom Kingdom using some of Bowser's hot air balloons. As they sail off, Peach tells Mario about the Secret World.

After the credits, Larry Koopa is limping towards Bowser's Castle and finally collapses. Immediately after, Bowser Jr. meets him and shows him the other six Koopalings lifting Bowser right side up. They succeed, but when they do so, the castle falls over and lands on top of Bowser and the Koopalings.
