The PSone (officially stylized as PS one) was a smaller, redesigned version of the original PlayStation console. It was released on July 7, 2000,[1] and is fully compatible with all PlayStation software, but compatibility with peripherals may vary.

Changes include the removal of the parallel and serial ports from the rear of the console, and the removal of the reset button (the power button is also labeled as a reset button, but the console cannot be reset without entirely turning it off).
