Petey Piranha is a recurring boss from the Mario series. He is a gigantic, walking, flying version of the usual Piranha Plant enemy. He frequently appears as a boss, but is also a playable character in several Mario spin-offs

Super Mario Sunshine

Petey Piranha's debut was in Super Mario Sunhine. He was faced twice in the first area of Super Mario Sunshine. The first time you face him, is inside the windmill that collapsed due to not being able to support the combined weight of Mario and Petey. He can spray graffiti in a 360 degree circle and he is weak to water. When Mario uses F.L.U.D.D to get Petey bloated, ground pound his stomach and the water will come out his mouth. Do this 3 times and Petey is defeated.

The second time you face him, he is at the back end of the area, and you can wake him up by shooting a water-balloon at him. He'll then fly across the village and you must shoot him down with the balloons in that area and he'll be brought down. If you get to close to Petey, he'll use his Head Whirlwind attack. If you are far away from him, he'll spin around causing a Tornado to form and roam around the area for a bit. You can only do the bloat/pound combo once, before Petey is back in the air.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Petey is an unlockable character, alongside King Boo, by winning Gold at the Special Cup on 150CC. Petey can use any character's special, and usually teams up with King Boo.

Mario Superstar Baseball

Petey is a playable character in Mario Superstar Baseball. He has a good hit and a strong pitch, but is very slow on his feet.
