Pokémon Stadium is the second Pokémon Stadium video game and was the first game in the series to be released outside of Japan. It is a game for the Nintendo 64 where players in North America, Europe and Australia could use the Transfer Pak to link with Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition (while Japanese players could link with Pocket Monsters: Green, Pocket Monsters: Red, Pocket Monsters: Blue and Pocket Monsters: Pikachu), so the player can see all of his/her Pokémon in 3D. Players could also use the Transfer Pak to play Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version or Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition (or Pocket Monsters: Green, Pocket Monsters: Red, Pocket Monsters: Blue and Pocket Monsters: Pikachu in Japan) on the Nintendo 64. The modes included in this game include Stadium, Gym Leader Castle, Free Battle, and various mini-games.
