Radar Mission is a Game Boy title developed and released in 1990 in Japan and North America by Nintendo. It was one of the earliest Game Boy titles, and was the first military-based game released for the Game Boy. ==Gameplay== This title has two different modes for one or two players. You have several options to set up in both modes, in order to play in certain ways. ===Game-A=== This mode is very similar to the pencil and paper game, Battleship, but with some extra features. For instance, some spots will reveal one of two different kinds of lucky stars and allow you to use it in your next turn. One can destroy a ship with one shot, the other can attack in fives spots in an X shape. If either player has an aircraft carrier, sometimes a fighter jet takes off and becomes another target for the competitor. It randomly moves around in spots that haven't been marked yet, until it is destroyed. ===Game-B=== This mode allows you to set up your submarine with extra Prop Speed, shoot Twin Shots, and/or equip a Power Sonar, before battling against other ships. You move left or right slowly when above the ocean, while you move faster when submerged. You use the radar to locate your enemies and friends only when submerged. You attack the enemy's submarine using the B-button, while you use the A-button to send out torpedoes at all ships. When you destroy every ship but not the enemy's submarine or just destroy the enemy's submarine itself, you win. The enemy's submarine isn't the only one that can attack and destroy you in this mode, but also fighter jets take off from aircraft carriers, while dropping torpedoes at you. ==External Links== * Japan Official Japanese website (Translated using Excite.Co.Jp) * 585872 * Detailed description of gameplay on Everything2
