Saladin was Sultan of Egypt from 1174 CE to 1193 CE. He has appeared in a number of video games, dating back to Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers on the Sega Saturn in 1997.
Age of Empires II[]

Saladin is the title of a campaign based around its titular character in the PC real-time strategy game Age of Empires II. It is based on the Saracens' response to the European Crusades.
Civilization IV[]

Saladin also appears as a playable leader in the turn-based strategy title, Civilization IV. He is the leader of the Arabian Empire. His personality traits are Spiritual and Protective.
