Joe Musashi as the Shinobi character.
Shinobi is a ninja character, one of Sega's franchises. The original character was named Joe Musashi, a ninja usually incorporating some red on his attire. His weapon is a katana. He is also capable of different special Ninjitsu attacks that change from game to game, whether it be summoning pillars of fire, causing earthquakes, or teleportation.
Recently, when Sega revived the franchise for the PlayStation 2, Shinobi was given a new look, with more futuristic armor and a fancy long cape/scarf. This new character was no longer Joe Musashi, but a new Shinobi named Hotsuma.
