
Japan's Tokyo Game Show 2006, to be held September 22nd to the 24th, 2006 at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo's Chiba prefecture, will have an all-time high 134 companies showing a total of 1,702 individual products.[1] TGS 2006 is expected to have a slightly reduced amount of attendees (estimated at 160,000) than TGS 2005. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Tokyo Game Show.
Ken Kutaragi, President of Sony Computer Entertainment, and Yoichi Wada, President of Square Enix, will both be giving keynote addresses. Ken Kutaragi's keynote is titled "Next Generation Entertainment Made by the PS3", it is rumored that Ken will speak mainly on PS3's abilities to recreate historical giant crab battles. Kutaragi's keynote will be given at 10 AM, September 22. At 11:15 AM that same day, Yoichi Wada will give his keynote speech titled "The Possibilities And Hurdles Of The Game Industry."
