The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes is a video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that was released only in Japan. Aside from Spider-Man, characters featured included Beetle, Lizard, Mysterio, Alistair Smythe, Green Goblin, Scorpion, Venom, Doctor Octopus, and Carnage.

Gameplay[]

The game is unique as web-swinging abilities are featured on the shoulder buttons. Right swings forward while left swings back. The game is also infamous for timed checkpoints within each level, as players must reach their destination in under sixty seconds. This prevents players from exploring areas for power ups and extra lives. The option mode is strangely enough in English while the text throughout the entire game is in Japanese except for the quote "He is... Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."

Music[]

The games soundtrack is very reminiscent of the Spider-Man animated series of the early 80's, mainly Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
