The Sega CD version has a password system to continue the game from a set point. The game begins with Doctor Octopus and Electro available in the map. The Lizard and Sandman appear in the map when Dr. Octopus is defeated, and Vulture after defeating Electro. Mysterio appears after Vulture's defeat. After defeating all the six, Hobgoblin appears, followed by Venom and then the Kingpin.
