Zoku: The Legend of Bishin (美神伝説Zoku Bishin Densetsu Zoku )[2] is a Super Famicom game that was released on December 25, 1993. The game takes place in and around Tokyo, Japan after a nuclear war devastates the world sometime in the year 201X. This provides a stereotypical post-apocalyptic wasteland that is scarce in natural resources and full of gangsters and bandits.
Gameplay[ | ]
In a wasteland type environment, a player must drive an automobile through a labyrinth-like series of roadways using either the male character Koji or the female character Risa. He or she decide what strategies to use on the thugs that roam the no man's land. If the player doesn't make it to a destination on time, an automatic game over will result. Game over sequences also occur if the player is mortally wounded or through the destruction of the automobile. Most of the game is in English even though it was only released in Japan. Therefore, it is easily understandable by North American and European gamers that never got to see the game officially released. There is a Final Fight-type fighting mode that appears if the player is delivered enough damage be expelled from his or her automobile. In this mode, the driver can suffer personal damage instead of automobile damage because he or she is out of the vehicle.
