Note: this glitch can only happen on early versions of the original Nintendo 64 release. It will not happen on the Collection and Master Quest discs!
In the final battle with Ganon, wait for your sword to be knocked away. Now save, and turn off your N64. When you load up your game again, you should be standing at the bottom of the stairs - with no sword! You can do a lot of cool tricks with this glitch, including using C button weapons and items while riding Epona, taking the fishing rod out of the pond, and much more. Experiment!
