Ultra Games was Konami's "division" for releasing NES and Gameboy games under a different corporate name as a workaround solution to Nintendo's third-party licensing restrictions regarding how many games a licensed third-party game publisher could legally publish in a year. With the easing of those restrictions by Nintendo, Konami dropped the Ultra Games banner and continued publishing games under their own company name.
