The prologue of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the first mission of the game. The prologue serves as a tutorial section for driving, gun combat, and swimming mechanics.

Plot[ | ]

I am a man of fortune, and I must seek my fortune.
~ Henry Avery, 1694

The story begins in media res, taking place between Chapter 12 and Chapter 13. Nathan Drake and his brother Sam are driving towards an island in the middle of a storm while trying to hold off armed men in boats. Eventually, a larger boat smashes into theirs, sending them into the water.

Walkthrough[ | ]

The chapter begins with you driving the boat. Simply head towards the island, steering into the smaller enemy boats. Once your boat is rammed by the larger one, you must keep driving towards the island while avoiding the mines dropped. After you're thrown overboard, first ascend to the surface, and then dive to avoid the incoming enemy boat. Resurface, then swim back to your boat.

Head to the ship's port side to deal with the gunfire from the incoming enemy boats while Sam repairs the boat's engine. There will be four boats in total (one big, three smaller): kill the men on each boat to continue. Take control of the boat again and resume heading towards the island. Watch out for large rocks as you drive, as the storm will make them difficult to see until they're close.

Collectibles[ | ]

There are no collectibles during the prologue.
