Video game journalism is a branch of journalism concerned with the reporting and discussion of video games.

History[]

The first newspaper columns dedicated solely to video games appeared in 1982. One was the newsletter Arcade Express, which was founded by Bill Kunkel, Arnie Katz, and Joyce Worley. The bi-weekly column ran from 1982[1] to 1983.[2] Another was The Vid Kid by Rawson Stovall and syndicated nationally by Universal Press Syndicate. The weekly column ran from 1982 to 1992.
