The Wii Mini, branded as Wii mini, is a variation of the Wii. It was first released in Canada in December 2012 and was later released in 2013 elsewhere. The Wii Mini has not been released in Japan. The Wii Mini removed GameCube backward compatibility, the SD card slot, and Wi-Fi support, all three being features from the original Wii. It could also only support a maximum of two controllers.
The Wii Mini was styled in matte black with a red border, and it was sold at a suggested retail price of $99.99 in the United States.[3] This console was packaged with Mario Kart Wii and a red Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk. The Wii Mini weighs 700g, is approximately 1.9 inches high, 6.3 inches wide, and 7.5 inches long.
