Wipeout 64 is a futuristic racing game for the Nintendo 64. It is the third game in the Wipeout series and is the only Wipeout game published on a Nintendo console; all subsequent releases in the series have since been PlayStation exclusive titles.
Set in 2098, a year after Wipeout 2097, the game introduced several new elements to the Wipeout series including analog control which benefited from the N64 controller, new weapons, teams, and tracks. Wipeout 64 received favorable reviews from critics, who praised it for offering a unique atmosphere and "superior track design". However, the game was criticized for its slow frame rate.
