Yoko Shimomura (下村陽子) is a Japanese video game music composer. Her most famous works are Kingdom Hearts, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. She has also done work on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Shimomura joined Square in 1993 as a composer after graduating from Osaka Music School, working for Capcom, and composed the score for Live a Live in 1994.
Shimomura makes her debut as a Final Fantasy series music composer with Final Fantasy XV. Her piece for this Final Fantasy title, "Somnus", was included in the Square Enix compilation album, Drammatica: The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura.
Style[ | ]
Yoko Shimomura has a love for classical music and composers, as well as a love for the piano. In some pieces, like Dearly Beloved, she demonstrates her skill in composing masterful piano melodies and pieces.
